    We have two active sewing clubs. One for quilting and one for very beginning sewing.

    Beginning Sewing

    Scrunchie

    Leader: Sara Smith

    RICHFIELD CLUB

    When: Monthly on Wednesday (see dates below) 3:30-5:30.
    Where: County Building conference room, 250 N Main Richfield.

    Ages: 8+ Must be enrolled in 4-H, $10 fee.

    Cost: $25 fee includes supplies for all projects. 4-H has six sewing machines for student use. Indicate if you need one on the registration form. 

    How to Register: This club is now full.

    Parents are welcome and encouraged to come and help their child.

    January 15 – SCRUNCHIE This class will focus on identifying basic parts of sewing machine game and fabric practice.

    February 12 – SCARVES finish scrunchies, tools, bobbins. 

    March 11DRAWSTRING BAG  

    April 15 – PILLOWCASE  

    May 6 – APRONS

     

    MONROE CLUB

    When: Monthly on Mondays (see dates below) 3:30-5:30.
    Where: Community Center, 220 S 300 W Monroe

    Ages: 8+ Must be enrolled in 4-H, $10 fee.

    Cost: $25 fee includes supplies for all projects. 4-H has six sewing machines for student use. Indicate if you need one on the registration form. 

    How to Register: This club is now full.

    Parents are welcome and encouraged to come and help their child.

    Quilting

    Quilt

    Leader: Sara Smith

    When: Monthly on Wednesday (see dates below) 3:30-5:30.
    Where: County Building conference room, 250 N Main Richfield.

    Ages: 10+ Must be enrolled in 4-H, $10 fee.

    Cost: Classes are $5 each, plus supplies for their table runner. A sewing machine will be provided if you don't have one.

    Each class will focus on a specific quilting block or technique. Students will be making their own quilt: a mini sampler from the blocks, a rag quilt, or Fruit Sorbet design from Riley Blake.

    January 29   --SNOWBALLS 

    February 26 --HALF SQUARE TRIANGLES

    March 25 -- TABLE RUNNER- You will need to supply 3-5 fat quarters and 1/4 yard fabric for binding.

    April 29 -- TBD based on children's interest

    May 20 -- Finish Runners and decide on having a summer workshop
